At VSJ Fitness, our mission is to create an inclusive, community-driven space where every body feels strong, welcomed, and supported. We offer a diverse blend of yoga, Pilates, strength training, and dance-based classes designed to help you build confidence, improve your well-being, and move with joy. Through empowering instruction, uplifting energy, and a commitment to accessibility, we’re building a wellness community where people from all backgrounds can show up, feel seen, and thrive together.

Hey there!

Meet the owner and lead instructor!

My name is Valarie James. Welcome to VSJ Fitness Studio. It has always been a passion of mine to bring healing and joy through movement. Movement includes dance fitness, strength training, yoga, and Glute Aerobics! As a body-positive therapist and fitness instructor, the goal is to encourage every person who takes my class (in person and virtual) to “Embrace Your Assets” as a way to celebrate all of the things our bodies can do while we are working towards our goals. Upon completion of each workout, my mission is to ensure you feel supported, motivated, and empowered. Ditch the idea of perfection- in our community, it’s all about doing what you can while having fun with your workouts.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching the Real Housewives franchise, being a dog mom, enjoying wine with friends and traveling!! I believe we must step outside of our comfort zone and live life to the fullest!!!
